Cimelio, the Italian word for heirloom, perfectly captures the essence of this collection. Saz ventured into Malta’s most ancient notarial archive, unearthing a trove of exquisite calligraphy, illuminated manuscripts, marbled paper, and maritime maps from the 15th century. She gathered fragments of these historical treasures, weaving them into intricate, delicate collages that truly celebrate the past. The result is a collection of silken heirlooms, designed to be cherished, adorned, and passed down through generations.
